Holly Springs is in NC State Senate District 17 and our Senator is Sam Searcy. He owns a vodka distillery in Durham, NC, but this interview focuses on the time thus far in his first term on the job in the North Carolina General Assembly. We talked about his campaign priorities, the struggle to get a budget for our state and how well the two political sides really get along when no one is watching.
